Experience

Since 1996, I have gained massive amounts of experience and knowledge in various different counselling areas and organisations, such as  women experiencing domestic violence and abuse, an addiction service counselling for people who have problems with alcohol, counselling students, teenagers and adults struggling with the long term effects of the Covid19 pandemic and a counselling trust for people with disabilities and/or their carers. I counselled adults with physical disabilities and for a shorter period provided play therapy.  I have also done voluntary counselling for adult and child bereavement previously and returned last year, within a charity.

Qualifications

I have the following qualifications:

  • R.S.A. Counselling Skills in the Development of Learning
  • University Certificate in Counselling
  • Advanced Diploma in Counselling
  • MSc in Counselling
  • I have also received training in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness.
  • I am an accredited member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists).
